We are a family of five Aussies: Anthony, Rachel, Bella (13), Austin (12) and Aria (11). We are passionate about the welfare of our four-legged friends. So much so that we recently purchased and moved into a 40ft motor coach and are touring America for an up close and personal lesson in U.S. history and to raise money and awareness for animal rescues.
Since only 30 percent of pets in homes are adopted from shelters, we need to make a change. Our plan: the Bathe to Save National Tour.
Our Bone of Contention
- Approximately 3.9 million animals (1.2 million dogs) are killed in U.S. shelters each year.
- One unspayed dog & her unaltered offspring can produce 67,000 dogs in seven years.
- Only one out of every 10 dogs born will find a permanent home.
- 60% of dogs in shelters never find a home.
- Many strays are lost pets not properly kept indoors or microchipped.
- All dogs should be treated equal despite their breed.
There are over 165 million households in the U.S.; 79.7 million have pets. NO dogs (animals) should be killed in shelters. They truly can all be saved.
As dog lovers, we’re passionate about the well-being of our furry friends and want to raise awareness of the numerous benefits of animal adoption.

Every Dog Will Have Its Day
The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals estimates 3.9 million dogs enter animal shelters each year. 1.2 million adoptable dogs are killed simply because there was no one to adopt them.Since one in every three homes in our native Australia has a family pet and 65 percent of U.S. households, or 79.7 million residences, are home to at least one pet, we are thrilled to raise awareness to the needs of animal rescues/organizations through the Bathe to Save National Tour as we travel across the U.S.
With annual sales expected to surpass $60 billion in 2015, the pet industry is one of America’s largest. According to the American Pet Products Association (APPA), pet owners will spend approximately $5.24 billion on pet services such as grooming and boarding this year alone.
As the Bathe to Save Team rolls across the nation in the big blue bus and raises awareness, Pack Leaders, Anthony and Rachel, together with Kevin Harrington from the Shark Tank and other celebrities are reaching out to build relationships with individual animal rescues and organizations that support their missions. They are also the tour’s media spokespersons and responsible for delivering key messages while promoting the sponsoring organizations.
Bathe to Save Tour Team
Anthony Amos: Anthony began his career playing professional rugby straight out of high school in Australia. While playing football, Anthony decided to use his downtime to start his own business and at 21, he founded a mobile dog grooming business: HydroDog.
Within five years, HydroDog had grown to more than 100 franchises across Australia and was the first franchise of its kind to be in every state and territory. After the 100th franchise milestone was achieved, HydroDog implemented a Master Franchise model and took the franchise system to the next level. This resulted in all state and territories in Australia being sold within an 18-month period.
Anthony and his team revolutionized the dog grooming industry by designing and creating a fiberglass mobile grooming salon in the shape of a big blue dog and to this day, there is no other product like it in the marketplace. With the Bathe to National Save Tour, Anthony is focused on raising awareness of benefits of animal adoption while promoting the sponsoring organizations and serving as a media spokesperson. He is also responsible for reaching out to and building relationships with the rescues/organizations to schedule and implement washing days /Bathe To Save events.

Aria Amos, 11: When she’s not perfecting her cartwheels, Aria’s empathy for pets is evident in her sparkling personality. Always eager to help, Aria’s contribution to the Bathe to Save National Tour is to assist with the day-to-day operations while writing
stories of her experiences and documenting the journey with original sketches
Bubbles Amos: As the official mascot of the Bathe to Save National Tour, Bubbles is the Amos family’s rescue dog. Bubbles will be sharing his experience and adventures along the way via his FaceBook page and blog.
